I'm David Frayer otherwise known as Uncle Snaf (it's an old nickname and a long story).
I love photography and imagery. I do it for my personal enjoyment, I guess you could call it an addiction. Even though I'm a semi-pro I mostly only shoot for my own artwork, It's what I love.
I kinda prefer or specialize in Low Light and Lightning photography, I really want to see what the darkness holds. But any style of photography is enjoyable in my eyes. I've been shooting on and off for over 30 years, Film, Video, and Digital. My education is in Video and Stage Production and I specialize in Mechanical Special Effects. I presently conduct photography lectures and workshops for photo clubs, photo classes, and Johnson's Photo Imaging.
I don't like being static so, I'm always learning and always working on that next WOW moment. I'm a firm believer in always trying different things, and making every shot an experiment and learning time. My photo philosophy, don't get bogged down in just one type or style of photography, explore, learn, grow, and most importantly have FUN. that is what it's all about, even if your a top pro. If you smile over your work, others will too.
My work is for sale, while this is not a point of sale site let me know what your interested in. Tell me what Page and Image # and roughly what size you want in inches. And I'll be happy send you back a print quote. I don't frame them but I have a top printing company with many printing options and drop shipping is available.

The Short, Long Story of Uncle Snaf
It has been asked many times, what is up with my nick name and business name
"Uncle Snaf".
When I was a teenager 1984ish I worked at Sarasota Lanes (a bowling alley in Sarasota, Fl.) and I owned a beat up Plymouth Arrow (the perfect poor teenager car). My older adult and libatiously inebriated co-workers decided one night to go out and write SNAFU (situation-normal-all-fouled-up, a naval term) across the rear window in white shoe polish, which was quite funny and I liked the joke. So I left it on there for some time. At work the one who wrote it  was my boss Jeff Ingrahm (he was like an older brother to me). Jeff started calling me "Snafu" as a new nickname to replace "Kid" which is what I was affectionately known as for quite a long time. Over time the Bowling alley knew me as "Snafu"... and so did my friends at the beach... and regular friends... and family... and schoolmates... Let's just say it stuck. Over time it was shortened to "SNAF" cause one syllable names are cooler and easier to say in a lazy southern tongue. When my first nephew was born I was called "Uncle Snaf" and the rest is history. it was always a catchy name for me so I named my businesses after it. Jeff Ingrahm passed away of Aids back when I joined the USCG, he was a very kind hearted and fun person who I learned alot from and respected very much. His contribution makes me proud to carry on Uncle Snaf as a nickname I hold still today. Say it with respect cause humorous as it's origins was, it is still a big part of me.
