This page is a collection of pieces for future publication
a Coffee Table Book if you will.
This page is my development and experimental page where I will be toying with various images and Idea's.
Words of warning to the spelling and grammar Nazis, I love making my own words and spinning tales in my own language.
Just know I plan on having some literary fun.

Say hello to Ariel. Many years ago, I was in creative mode. I wanted to create something different that is not "shopped" (That’s a word that means “PhotoShop Edited” for those who aren't aware of the magical wonders modern computing can cheat on ) The goal of this piece was to do one thing, create a long exposure, low light, abstract, piece of art. OK that is a lot of things to get if you're not a photographer, but stay with me on this. The idea was simple. using sparks from steel wool to create a different kind of background. Doing that however was harder than it looked. To shoot this it was just Ariel and Myself, no helpers, assistants, grips… Well you get the point. So, a number of things had to be done at the same time all by yours truly. After getting everything set up, I had to stand on a small ladder, spin the (now on fire steel) wool, fire the one flash in the distance, and pull the trigger. Oh, remember I said it was a long exposure, about 15 seconds worth. Ariel had to stand perfectly still throughout this whole thing. After 45 minutes to get this one shot we were exhausted. But it was time well spent. With Ariel’s beautiful, natural, and unique, look (and she is an absolute stunner) It should be noted that I did ask her not to wear much makeup at all because I wanted to capture her as she is, not a fancy makeup job. She did a fantastic job and this is one of my all-time favorite pieces.
Victory Tacos were served up afterwards for our success.

At first appearance this may seem like just a quick shot. Welcome to the Tea House, a wonderful little place a friend of mine owned and where Ariel used to work. I love to capture people in the moment, not posing, not made up, just real as they are living in the now. It was common for me to bring my camera there and just randomly shoot. To practice and just randomly create things that would catch my fancy. While aesthetically pleasing to the ambiance of the place the lighting was harsh and direct, full of shadows and not good for photography. (I.E. perfect for me) This is where the term “Location, location, location” gives me that something different I am always looking for. While Ariel was working, and we were casually chatting, I was experimenting with various settings to get the most out of the contrast between light and dark. Later that evening while editing the image I decided to go Black and white with it. It was a great decision and it brought me back to appreciating B&W images, which is a story I will tell, later on.

Lonely Man

Winter in Florida brings strange skies. Grey, hazy, humid, but sunlit and mildly warm. There's a certain inner depression that weather like this brings on. While walking around and milling about with my camera, I noticed a man who was very deep in contemplation. His gaze was of sadness and held a certain amount of lonely distance. It was important to keep his identity private but I wanted to to capture the contemplative silhouette and I knew in my minds eye that I must get this in Black and White.
